Tex Kinnane, un détective cow-boy américain, est envoyé en Australie avec pour mission d'arrêter un voleur d'or ayant sévi aux Etats-Unis. Il suit sa piste qui le mène à Gold Star, une bourgade où sont installés nombre d'immigrants des States. N'importe qui pourrait être le coupable.
